The winners' pieces are absolutely fantastic. Each piece (and I've just read through them, one by one) transports you to the writer's reality - the language is creative, vivid and courageous. Although some of the themes are 'dark', there is hope, which makes them so true to life, and ultimately, they are an inspiration.
