Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my article. I absolutely respect an individual's right to choose not to eat crickets (or tarantulas for that matter!).
You make some interesting points: should we, as only one of the many species on this planet, be killing any other creature to survive?
What would the consequences of not doing so? For example, could the human population survive on plant protein alone? What is the impact of growing space-heavy protein crops, such as soy, on animal habitats and biodiversity?
I don't have the answers to these questions, but I think it's crucial that we seriously consider the environmental impact of what we choose to grow, farm and eat.
